What originally started as The White Rose 2 Bay Gas Station, and a loan from his dad;
Vic purchased the gas station business in 1971 . Vic and his wife, Betty, ran the station together, creating a cozy family atmosphere, where their son, Doug, began working there at just 14. From running the pumps to receiving his journeyman certification, Doug took over the business in 1998.
Over the years, the gas pumps changed from Shell to Autotech to Mohawk, but they eventually decided to shut the pumps in 2013.
The business adapted and grew, opening a second location in 2015.
After transporting parts and vehicles between the two shops for a while, they decided to build a new facility in 2018.
What began as a small gas station with two bays turned into a modern operation with seven bays that still is going strong at the original spot on Main Street in Wainwright.
In 2019, Doug’s son, Mitchell, joined the family business and recently earned his journeyman certification.
Now, after 54 years and three generations, the business is still going strong.
